Load your boat onto the trailer - be careful not to damage it during this process
Whether you are a seasoned boater or a novice, the process of loading your boat onto a trailer can be nerve-wracking. It is important to take your time, be sure of your footing, and prevent any accidental damages throughout the process.
First, park the boat in line with the center of the trailer bunks, allowing enough space on either side so that you will have room to work without accidentally damaging the boat while maneuvering it. Securely attach tie downs at all four corners as insurance, to ensure that should one become loose during transport nothing will happen before you can retake them. If need be, use rollers mounted along the sides of the trailer bunks to guide and push your hull onto them without damage.
Once they are loaded, snug but do not overtighten tension straps across both ends and each side so that everything stays secure during transport; this should also help keep water from gathering in-between if it begins raining. Finally verify that there are no obstructions dragging underneath before driving away for an otherwise successful launch!
